Annual American Haidakhan Samaj Meeting - July 19 & 20, 2008

It is never too early to start planning summer vacation time particularly if it is to Shri Babaji's home in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Crestone, Colorado.
The weather in Colorado at the end of July is some of the finest in the country, so that is when we have planned this year's Annual Samaj meeting. It is also auspicious because Guru Purnima Day (the day you honor your teacher) falls the day before, on Friday, July 18. It will be celebrated at the Ashram with a Paduka Puja (washing of Shri Babaji's sandals), a large fire ceremony at 10am and a sumptious Indian feast. There will also be lots of chanting and satsang (stories) in the evening time.

We so hope you can join us as it is a very inspiring time and also important so that we can plan together how to best spread Shri Babaji's love and light throughout the country for the coming year. For reservations and more information contact the Ashram at info@BabajiAshram.org or call at 719-256- 4108.

Bhole Baba Bhajan Band Tours the East for Second Time this Year.

The Nationally acclaimed Bhole Baba Bhajan Band will be on the east coast again for more high-energy kirtan (chanting) events. The tour will start in Denver on April 18th and from there will go to Shrewsbury, MA (April 20th), New York NY (April 22nd), Brooklyn NY (April 23rd), Marlton NJ (April 24th), Philadelphia (April 25th) and Greenbelt, MD on April 27th.

The Band recently finished a very successful National tour, which included such well-known venues as The Ashkenaz in Berkeley, CA, a nationally recognized music and dance club that specializes in live world and roots music. They also performed on college campuses, yoga centers, churches, temples, and high schools. The inspiration and the four members come from the Haidakhandi Universal Ashram in Crestone, Colorado (click on link at right or go to www.BabajiAshram.org). They play a variety of instruments but will be focusing on harmonium, dollak, dunbek, percussion, vocals, and dance. As the audience catches the energy, dancing with the band seems to be the natural outcome.

Here is a review from Swami Jyotirmayananda, Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville "The Bhole Baba Bhajan Band "Alive with the Divine" is a dynamic spiritual experience not to be missed. Ramloti and her accompanying kirtanists are truly "Alive with the Divine". The Kirtan features a well balanced blend of Divine Mother, Shiva and Krishna/Rama chants that are irresistible and welcoming to every one's participation. The resulting spiritual energy created is a true gift to the participants and to the healing of the planet."
